Dear Prospective Ministerial Candidate,
We appreciate your taking the time to look at our information.
Our congregation is looking for a new partner. It’s part of the natural cycle of church life. We are excited, afraid, positive, worried, anxious, and proud. We don’t know what the future holds, but we look forward to it and try to steer it as much as we can.
Our Search Team is gathering information, and among the things we hope to have a handle on through the process are “Who do we want to be?” and “What is our role in our community?”
We have self-defined once recently. Beginning in 2003 the congregation held a congregational vote on our mission. Liberal Religious Education was the answer. Ten years later we have a new Education Building and a growing Children and Youth Program.
It is time for us to self-define again and determine who we are now, with the people we have now, and the world problems we have now – an unsettling but ultimately productive activity.
We want a Minister who wants to become one of us and lead and teach and learn with us, a partner and an advisor who will love this congregation as we do.
Hope this makes some sense to you. We are eager to hear from you.
