We are seeking a spiritual leader who enthusiastically delivers heartfelt and inspiring messages. Sunday services should challenge and stimulate us intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. We enjoy a mix of uplifting and motivational sermon topics. The minister needs to connect with a wide range of ages, religious, and spiritual beliefs and practices.

Our church needs a minister who fosters a sense of fellowship and community and is supportive of and involved in church life. We would like a minister who participates in our church activities and events and feels that our church is his/her church home, too. We would welcome a spouse/partner and children, and invite them to be comfortable and active in our church community.

We expect the minister to become familiar with the organization that operates our church, and work actively with us to continue to encourage and develop lay leaders. As a covenantal community, we prefer problem solving approaches that consider many aspects of a situation, a person who knows when is it best to get involved and when to step away and let things work out on their own.

We need help getting unstuck in regard to growth – particularly, to retain our families with young children and attract new people to the church. We seek a dynamic minister who is skillful at marketing “our brand” to grow the congregation. In addition, we feel a need to reach out to the larger community. We seek a minister that engages, works, and participates with other congregations, is active in denominational affairs, and can help us be a beacon for liberal religion in the Tampa area.

It is our vision to be a center for liberal religious education for people of all ages. We appreciate religious education and hope the minister will work effectively with our DRE and RE committees to develop and expand educational opportunities at UUCT.
