This committee is called on to maintain the legal documents of the Church,  develop new policies and change old ones as needed.

Changes or new policy requests could come from the Board or a Committee.  The Bylaws, Policies and Procedures Committee accepts the draft document and reviews it for conflicts or overlap with the Bylaws or Policies.  If there is an issue, it is returned.  If not, the committee puts the document into the standard format and advises the Board of Trustees that the policy is ready for their approval.

Changes to Bylaws must be approved by the congregation at the annual meeting on the first Sunday in May.  Changes to policies are approved by the Board.  Once approved they are properly filed in the office notebook and online.
