The Beginning<\/strong>
\n\"sun<\/a>Years ago there was a woman who was searching for her spiritual path.\u00a0 She received information about a Full Moon Circle being held near her and, feeling the pull of Goddess, she decided to attend. The information, which included a map, she put away for safe-keeping. As the days passed and she watched the moon grow full, she began searching for this valuable information. But the map had disappeared. This woman was attending the Unitarian Universalist church of Tampa and she brought up the lost map story to a group \"Honoring<\/a>following a Sunday service. The person with the lost map was Susan Miller, whose memorial in now in our garden.\u00a0 The suggestion was made that they form their own group and, thus, Full Moon Circle was born.<\/p>\n

The Chronicles<\/strong>
\n1992 \u2013 With the support of then minister, Rev Mike Young and the \u201cCircle of the Lost Map\u201d was born and a TUUC, Tampa UU Circle began holding Full Moon Circles.<\/p>\n

2000 – With the support of Rev. Barbara Childs, Circles in the Wood CUUPS was confirmed and voted as a standing committee in the church bylaws.<\/p>\n

Since 1992, there has been a Full Moon Celebration on the Saturday closest to the full moon.\u00a0\u00a0 Full Moon Celebrations attendance ranges about about 80 to 120.<\/p>\n

Over the years, there have been many other types of contributions such as:\u00a0 May Fest, Witches Masquerade Ball, Fall Fest, Dumb Supper.\u00a0 Every year they sponsor a Wicca 101 and have previously lead “Cakes for the Queen of Heaven” and “Rise Up and Call Her Name.”\u00a0 More information about Circles in the Woods CUUPS can be found our the church website at<\/p>\n
