Classes, film and book discussions, and other educational opportunities
Interested in becoming a member of this church? Participation in one of the classes listed below is a vital element in one’s becoming a member of our congregation. A basic overview of the history and the evolution of the Unitarian Universalist ways in spirituality and religion will be offered in a causal dialogue format. If you are interested in learning more about the UUCT, or about Unitarian Universalism in general, register for one of these classes.

1. Tibetan Buddhist Meditation: Padmasambhava Buddhist Center of Tampa Bay holds Buddhist practice in the large dome that meets every Monday at 7pm. The practice includes chanting of the Heart Sutra and meditation. First timers are advised to come at least 20 minutes early for orientation. Practice is provided free of charge. 2. Tuesday UUCT Mindfulness Meditation Group: Meets at 6:00pm in the large dome. These are two twenty minute meditations with a five minute walking meditation between them. 3. Light Yoga Class, every Friday at 11 am. Yoga Class will be held in the MPB. What to bring: Yoga mat or towel or blanket; What to wear: Loose or expandable clothing; What to expect: Light stretching only with no difficult yoga poses; Cost: $6.00 (a church fund-raiser) If you can lay on the floor and get back up, you can do this beneficial, meditative activity.
